Craft Companies own, pursue, develop, and manage new, conventional oil and gas fields on-shore U.S Gulf Coast. All companies are managed by Steven H. Craft Sr., who has been active since 1986 and works from a BS in geology from USL in Lafayette and graduate work in carbonate geology at University of New Orleans.
His career follows the career and the accomplishments of his father, Wyatt E. Craft, who began in the early 1960’s with Amoco, and in the late 1960’s through his death in 1998 was an independent Oil and Gas Operator who established the first Craft company which generated, leased, drilled and operated several hundred wells, in SW Mississippi.
Steven H. Craft Sr. specializes in seismic supported depositional dynamics through the identification and development of new oil field discoveries, primarily in the Mesozoic section of Mississippi and Alabama.
Craft’s efforts have resulted in 34 new field discoveries, 23 of which were generated by Craft and assembled, drilled, and operated by Craft and/or his partners. The remainder are fields that Craft participated in.
We are just getting started.
